Economic Analysis of State and Regional Climate Action Plans. November 20, 2009.
Adam Rose presented an overview of CCS State Processes and his and Dan Wei's work on economic modeling at the Public Policy Institute of California. He provides a macroeconomic view of state mitigation efforts, including a focus on market systems/trading and job creation from climate actions using examples from the Midwest and FL. The results show a majority of actions have positive economic impacts.

Comprehensive Climate Policy Development and Planning. October 16, 2009.
This presentation offers an overview of the CCS Climate Planning Process, including the basic ten-step planning process and rigorous technical and economic analysis. The presentation also includes examples and results from various state plans as well as the national outcomes of that work.

State Energy and Climate Action: Efficiency in the Built Environment. September 1, 2009.
This Capitol Hill Briefing addressed state actions to improve energy efficiency of buildings, industry and commercial land use. Energy efficiency offers the most cost effective approach to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. It was the third in a series of briefings on Capitol Hill. Speaker presentations available below.

Economic Analysis and Study Review of Southern Regional Climate Policy Options. August 22, 2009.
At the 2009 annual meeting of the Southern Governors' Association (SGA), CCS (Tom Peterson, Jeff Wennberg and Adam Rose) presented an economic assessment of climate change policies in the Southern Governors Association (SGA region) and a review of a several independent economic studies. These works were commissioned as a part of Governor Tim Kaine’s Climate Change Initiative for the SGA.

Agriculture, Forestry and Waste Sector Climate Policies. July 8, 2009.
Tom Peterson's July 8th Capitol Hill briefing provided an overview of the policies and actions in the agriculture, forestry and waste management sectors that have been consistently included in the comprehensive climate planning going on at the state level. Peterson was followed by representatives of forestry and agriculture from the Southeast and Midwest who offered recommendations on how the federal government and states can best partner to provide effective policies.

Federal-State Climate Policy Advancement. March 12, 2009.
Climate Policy Advancement, The CCS presentation to the Midwest Climate Policy Forum in Columbus Ohio highlights the climate planning work done by state and the consensus achieved. It presents cost curves based on CCS analysis of 20 completed state plans. It also offers a CCS analysis of the projected national greenhouse gas reductions achievable by 2015-2020 if the recommendations of 20+ leadership states were implemented in all states.
