May 21. 2009 - Florida releases macroeconomic study
This macroeconomic analysis of Florida's Energy and Climate Action Plan shows significant economic benefits to the state through implementation of the policies recommended by the Governor's Energy and Climate Action Team. These include 148,000 net job gain, $38 billion net cumulative increase in gross state product as well as significant reductions in greenhouse gases and fuels use between 2009 and 2025. May 7, 2009 - Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley signs the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Act (GGRA), a major piece of legislation that sets a landmark for state climate action. The law puts in motion implementation of climate mitigation measures developed during the Maryland Climate Change Commission (MCCC) process. These are fully described in the MCCC Final Report.

The Michigan Climate Action Council (MCAC) completed its final report and is developing recommendations for immediate action.

The Kansas Energy & Environment Planning Advisory Group (KEEP) completed its Interim Report in mid January, 2009. The final report is due in January, 2010.
