Fan Zhang



Policy Analyst

As a policy analyst at CCS, Fan supports the China Program Manager and Senior Technical Program Manager in bilingual research on Chinese climate, energy, environmental and economic policy. He also assists with developing climate analytical tools, monitoring activity around climate policy at the national and subnational levels in the U.S. and China, researching new and upcoming international climate planning projects, and liaising with potential CCS partners. At the same time, he supports macro-economic analysis for LEDS policies to discover impacts on GDP, employments, income, etc. Prior to joining at CCS, Fan interned at an NGO to increase understanding of solar energy through strategic research that educates the public and transforms markets. Fan has also worked as a consultant in China for two and a half years and participated in several energy projects for different industries.  Fan has a Master of Science degree from John Hopkins University in Energy Policy and Climate and a B.S. in Energy and Environment Systems Engineering from Zhejiang University.
