The Center for Climate Strategies (CCS) was retained by the Climate Change & Clean Energy (CEnergy) Project of the US Agency for International Development (USAID) to conduct a third-party audit (verification) of community-level greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories prepared by six local government units (LGUs) in the Philippines. To visit the external CEnergy site, please click here. The project will include site visits to each LGU to review their data and approaches, GHG mitigation staffing, and data systems. The following LGUs are included: Aurora Province; the municipality of Kalayaan (Laguna Province), Makati City (National Capitol Region), Pasig City (National Capitol Region), Santa Rosa City (Laguna Province), and Batangas City (Batangas Province). A final report and verification opinion will be issued to each LGU to document the issues identified and any resolution of these issues completed by the LGU within the project period.
